Since Mumara website has back to back launched several apps to help its clients with multi-channel marketing. It is sometime getting a bit confusing for the clients to quickly understand the difference between some of the apps that appear alike or different editions of the same app. This happens mostly in case of email marketing applications that Mumara offers, in this particular blog, I’ll try to cover the currently available email marketing apps of Mumara and their versions, to help the clients making easy decisions. Team Mumara is working every day for making its apps better, so you may expect new apps or more variants of the currently available apps in the future.
Let’s start with the latest one the Mumara Campaigns. We got a good amount of support queries as well as live chat sessions asking the different between MumaraClassic and Mumara Campaigns. Since both essentially deal with Email Marketing and Automation, people sometime don’t actually delve into the feature details and end up in confusion.
Well both actually are entirely separate applications, and other than the difference among the features, each one of the both follows a pricing model different than the other. MumaraClassic is the self-hosted application that is discussed later in this article, while Mumara Campaigns is a SaaS app. Mumara Campaigns automatically deploys on a cloud instance upon purchase; you can however select hardware resource according to your sending requirements. Currently, Mumara Campaigns doesn’t offer a self-hosted version.
It was after the success of MumaraClassic, initially known as Mumara that team Mumara started working on a new version that not only covers more functionality but also includes suggestions that clients have posted over the period of time. The very outcome of this is Mumara Campaigns. It went through from a complete architectural redo, features are enhanced to a significant level and the processes are made more initiative. This new application of Mumara is available as Mumara Campaigns on our website. In future blogs under what’s new category, we’ll specifically be talking about the enhancements and new features that Mumara Campaigns has.

People that know Mumara from the beginning days also know that Mumara initially started a self-hosted email marketing application. Being the only application we had at that time, we used to simply call it Mumara. But this isn’t the case anymore. When Mumara expanded from one application to a complete store for web apps for multi-channel marketing, different applications are given unique names to help clients easily identify the required one. The initial version of Mumara is now known as MumaraClassic on our website.
MumaraClassic is the self-hosted email marketing application, best suitable for high volume email delivery. MumaraClassic is highly acknowledged application especially famous for its seamless blend with PowerMTA Mail Server. The combination of Mumara & PowerMTA gives marketers an edge to deliver sizable amount of emails right to the target inbox.
