Pricing FAQ

Pricing questions, answered.

What's the difference between Newsletter and Transactional pricing?

Newsletter is priced by contacts on your list — your monthly send allowance scales with your contact volume (4× contacts on Essential, 8× on Professional, 12× on Business). Transactional is priced by raw email volume, regardless of contacts. Use Newsletter for marketing campaigns, Transactional for API-triggered sends like password resets and order confirmations. Most teams use both — same account, same Bridges.

Why does Essential have a hard cap and no overage?

Essential is the simplest, cheapest tier — designed for predictable budgets. If you exceed your allocation, sending pauses until you upgrade or wait for next billing. Pro and Business plans allow overages at a transparent per-email rate (visible in the configurator above). Essential plans on the Transactional track also cap at 100K emails/month — high-volume senders should pick Pro or Business.

How does overage billing work?

If your account is set to Allow Overuse, sending continues past your plan allowance instead of pausing — and the overused quota is invoiced on your billing date, at the transparent per-email rate shown in the configurator above. That invoice must be paid within 7 days of its creation. If Allow Overuse is off, sending simply pauses at your plan ceiling until your next cycle or an upgrade — no surprise charges either way. You choose which behaviour fits your operation.

Can I change plans or volume tiers later?

Yes — anytime. Upgrade or downgrade from your Mumara ONE account, and the change is prorated against your current cycle. You can also switch tracks (Newsletter ↔ Transactional) if your sending pattern changes.

Are dedicated IPs included?

Dedicated IPs (and Pools, and Bridges-to-Pool binding) are included on Professional and Business plans. Buy IPs from inside the platform; we handle warm-up automatically and monitor reputation continuously. Essential plans use shared sending infrastructure.

How does the AI Email Builder fit in?

Mumara AI is included on every plan with a starter quota of credits. Three quality tiers — Mumara AI Fast (cheapest), Mumara AI (default), Mumara AI Advanced (highest quality) — let you balance cost and output. Top up credits anytime from your billing panel. AI Content Tags (the auto-rewriting differentiator) is gated to Business tier.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Mumara ONE has a free tier — 100 emails/day, 100 contacts — so you can build your first campaign before paying anything. No credit card required to sign up.

What about enterprise pricing?

Volumes above 5M contacts (Newsletter) or 5M emails (Transactional) need custom pricing. Same for compliance-heavy industries, multi-region requirements, and anything with an SLA negotiation. Talk to sales — we tailor each engagement.
